it’s always so funny learning about the Great Depression in grade school cuz they don’t ever talk about how latinx and Hispanic people were lowkey deported to Mexico even if they weren’t Mexican and how the depression was literally twice as worse for black people who were the first fired and last hired. like educators always report these tragedies by how they impacted whites UNLESS you are in a class like AA studies or something.

This is the truth. The experiences of poc have been outright erased from history in US public education. The white experience is labeled as universal in order to cover up white crimes and to keep white kids ignorant so that we uphold white supremacy throughout our lives.

This is honestly dumb. If a man was to say this he would have been drug in the mud. I don’t even want to get into the politics of why people believe this tbh i. regards to the disadvantages we all have as black people in America and then how black men are targeted and treated unfairly forcing them to leave their families. But as I was saying, black men aren’t all trash, just the black men you have dealt with. The same could be said about women; not all of them but some. Branding a whole category of people as something negative is the same thing the white community has branded us as thugs, criminals, etc. I’m just saying don’t talk down on your black men (or women) because we already deal with white people doing it and at this time we need to depend on eachother. Black men have said worse than this about black women. Black men have gone on tv and bashed black women. Black men have written articles about black women that said worse than this.

Black women have been leading the unity line for the longest, but brothas (and some sistas) dropped ball when it came to black women.

Every time sistas preach black love, and other forms of solidarity black men took it as us being bitter, mad and angry that they date white women or non-black women and how they don’t have to date us if they don’t want to.How we valued black pride for the longest only to be mushed in the face and told to shut up and stop complaining. All the memes, studies and comments showing black men’s discriminatory non-solidarity view towards black women really did a number on us. We’ve tried, Lord knows we’ve tried. It’s not us, it’s never been us.

Tf are y'all bashing black men for? The ones that treated you like shit have no knowledge of self, and evidently you don’t either because you:

They think calling out the way black men treat black women= bashing black men, does supporting them mean letting them do it, while we accept the abuse?.How does us talking about our mistreatment towards us= bashing them?

The black men under this post are reacting just like white people do when we tell them about their racism. They don’t want to go after their brethren for their behavior because many of them benefit from the cool points of bashing black women and mistreating black women. They want part of the popularity of the black men who bash black women and the benefits of claiming to be a “good black man”. They want their cake and eat it too.
